Who’s Zach?

I’m a proud Cantabrian, a BCITO-qualified builder, and your go-to flat pack extraordinaire.

Flat Pack Zach began as a side hustle when my wife and I were preparing for the arrival of our first baby. What started as a way to earn a little extra soon grew into a business built on reliability, attention to detail, and plenty of happy customers.

When I’m not assembling kitsets, you’ll find me spending time with my wife and daughter, out fishing, or courtside with the Wharenui Gators Basketball Club, where I’m also a coach.

FAQs

Can you collect and deliver my item from the store?

Yes! We offer a collection and delivery service from local stores (e.g. Bunnings, Mitre 10, The Warehouse, Freedom, etc.) straight to your home — and then we’ll assemble it.

Do you offer rubbish or packaging removal?

Absolutely. We can remove all packaging, cardboard, and leftover materials after the job is complete. Let us know if you'd like this added to your quote.

How fast can I get a quote?

We aim to respond to all quote requests within 6 hours, and often much faster. Send us a photo, product link, or delivery slip — and we’ll come back with a fixed, no-obligation price.

Do you work after hours or on weekends?

Yes — we offer flexible booking options including after-hours and weekend installations, ideal for busy households or those working full-time.

What areas do you cover?

We’re based in Christchurch and service the greater Canterbury region, including Selwyn (Rolleston, Lincoln, Prebbleton) and Waimakariri (Kaiapoi, Rangiora, Pegasus). For out-of-town jobs, just ask.

How much does it cost?

Prices vary depending on the job size and type. Smaller items start from $100, while larger projects like pergolas or wardrobes range from $250–$1,500+. We’ll give you a firm quote before starting any work.
